London has a thriving fashion scene with many designers showcasing clothing of all kinds. Recently I had the pleasure of meeting one particular designer whose work is really remarkable: Charlotte Zimbehl, who designs amazing and timeless coats and blazers.
I immediately fell in love with Charlotte Zimbehl’s designs, which are handmade here in London and inspired by Nordic styles and Parisian tailoring. They are everything outwear should be: elegant, comfortable and designed with true craftsmanship, as well as being completely ethically sourced. I would quite happily spend this winter wrapped up on one of her coats!
Charlotte’s online store has a complete list of all her designs, which are named after iconic women. The winter 2016 collection is especially well worth browsing such as the stylish trench coat The Jackie and knee-length wool design The Marianne.
Another thing I loved about meeting Charlotte is that her story is quite similar to my own. Whereas I moved to London from Switzerland, Charlotte came here from Frankfurt, Germany before she launched her own label in 2014. What makes London and its fashion scene so unique is that it is populated by people from all kinds of backgrounds with a diverse range of experience. Charlotte Zimbehl and her work are evidence of that.
